Embroidery Class

Mollie Johanson at Wild Olive is having an embroidery project class next month. She is going to present projects for us to learn how to embroider on all kinds of materials: pet screen, cardboard, clear vinyl, etc. It's going to be interesting to learn some new techniques.

Mollie has some really cute patterns, too. She has designs of camping, cooking, vegetables and fruits, just to name a few.

Fun Blogs I've Found

I don't even eat flour or sugar any longer, but Cupcake Spy is the cutest site. I love the cupcake drawings. Bakerella is another fun site. As far as I can tell, there are all kinds of directions, but no charge for anything. What great fun for someone to be so generous!
National Tie One On Day™  is November 25, 2009. Apron Memories can tell you all about and you won't miss out!
CinderberryStitches has some amazing embroidery. I love her work. It is delicate and sweet. She uses many of my favorite colors, too - red, pink and brown.  Leannes House is another site that has terrific embroidery.
          Happy viewing everyone!

Packing

We are leaving for Chautauqua, NY and I'm trying to get ready. Of course, the most important thing about a trip is what projects to take. The choices are endless. I'm trying to choose between knitting and embroidery. I have prepared the Crabapple Hill designs: Zelda's Fancy Hat and Vintage Trick or Treat. I have a Dobby Style House SockMark, baby tube socks, and a lace weight shawl to knit. It will be hard to make a choice. I might have to find space for all of them.
Oh, then I have to get my clothes together, but that will only take a minute and it's not as important!
