Women 4 Women Knitting 4 Peace

While at Chautauqua, I participated in a knitting group. Of course, I can find crafts anywhere! I met Susan McKee who founded this 'knitting for peace' group. You can read about her journey at http://women4woment-knitting4peace.com. I went to get yarn today to make a shawl and a doll. I've chosen to make the scarf that has the symbols of each of 3 Abrahamic religions - Christianity, Judaism, Islam.
I'll post pictures as I progress. Susan said there are groups around the country who knit together or a person can make them alone. Go to the site and find out if you'd like to participate.
